About Us

At Hermas Feed FZCO, we are a premier global commodities trading company headquartered in Dubai, UAE, with operational hubs in Cairo, Egypt, and Accra, Ghana. We specialize in chartering bulk carrier vessels to ship and distribute large volumes of essential construction materials—such as Cement, Clinker, Steel Rebars, and Gypsum—to key, high-growth markets across West Africa.

As part of our aggressive global expansion and growth strategy, we are looking for a visionary Unit Head – Hard Commodities to scale our product and market mixes to new heights.

Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Leadership & P&L Ownership
  • Business Growth: Formulate and execute the global commercial strategy for hard commodities to achieve ambitious revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
  • P&L Management: Maintain full accountability for the unit’s P&L, optimizing margins across direct factory sourcing, freight, insurance, and trade financing.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capture opportunities in new geographic markets, tier-one manufacturing partners, and high-value industrial buyers across expanding import corridors.
2. Commercial Operations & Trade Execution
  • Transaction Structuring: Lead the end-to-end negotiation and execution of complex spot and long-term supply contracts, integrating effective hedging strategies.
  • Risk Management: Oversee market, credit, and operational risks while ensuring strict compliance with international trade terms.
  • Supply Chain Oversight: Collaborate closely with logistics and maritime operations teams to guarantee seamless vessel chartering, hold inspections, port delivery, and demurrage minimization.
3. Supplier & Client Relationship Management
  • Act as the strategic primary point of contact across the supply chain, fostering long-term relationships with key suppliers and tier-one industrial buyers.
4. Performance Culture
  • Drive a high-performance culture managed by key performance indicators (KPIs) focused heavily on volume growth, profitability parameters, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. (An MBA or Master’s in International Trade is a strong advantage).
  • Experience: Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive commercial experience in international hard commodities trading and/or procurement, with a proven, verifiable track record handling at least two or more core commodities (cement, clinker, gypsum, steel).
  • Technical Expertise: Deep, hands-on knowledge of international trade finance instruments, shipping/chartering logistics, and bulk cargo handling.
  • Travel Readiness: High flexibility to undertake regular international travel (approx. 40%–60%).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and crisis-resolution abilities.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic, French, or other regional languages is a significant plus.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation: Generous base salary paired with a highly rewarding commission structure.
  • Flexibility: Work-from-Egypt or remote setup, backed by modern collaborative infrastructure and dynamic leadership.
  • Global Impact: A front-row seat to scaling international trade operations across high-demand African corridors.
