HorizonOne Philippines is looking for a proactive, experienced, and results-driven US Accounting Recruiter to manage recruitment for our CPA accounting firm based in Illinois, USA.

The recruiter will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting qualified Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), tax accountants, tax preparers, staff accountants, senior accountants, and other accounting professionals to support the firm's growing team.

Our primary focus is finding qualified accounting talent within Illinois, with an emphasis on the Chicago metropolitan area, while also sourcing experienced remote accounting professionals from across the United States.

We need someone who can take ownership of the recruitment process, proactively identify qualified candidates, and build a reliable pipeline of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

Manage the full recruitment cycle for accounting positions within our Illinois-based CPA accounting firm.

Recruit CPAs, tax accountants, tax preparers, staff accountants, senior accountants, and other qualified accounting professionals.

Prioritize candidates located in Illinois, particularly the Chicago metropolitan area, while sourcing suitable remote candidates nationwide.

Develop targeted recruitment strategies based on each position's qualifications, experience requirements, and responsibilities.

Review resumes, conduct initial screening interviews, assess candidate suitability, and present qualified shortlists.

Coordinate interviews, follow up with applicants, and assist with the hiring process through offer and placement.

Candidate Sourcing and Pipeline Development

Source candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, accounting job boards, professional associations, referrals, and other recruitment channels.

Proactively engage passive candidates who may not be actively looking for a new role.

Build and maintain a strong database of qualified accounting professionals.

Use targeted searches and direct outreach to identify experienced professionals in the Illinois accounting market.

Develop effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified CPAs and tax professionals during busy and non-busy seasons.

Recruitment Operations and Reporting

Maintain accurate candidate records and track applicants throughout the recruitment process.

Monitor sourcing activity, screening results, interviews, offers, and successful placements.

Provide regular recruitment updates and communicate hiring challenges proactively.

Manage multiple vacancies while maintaining candidate quality and timely delivery.

Coordinate with HorizonOne management and the accounting firm's leadership to align recruitment priorities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably for US accounting firms or finance-related positions.

Experience recruiting CPAs, tax accountants, tax preparers, or other accounting professionals is highly preferred.

Understanding of US accounting job titles, credentials, and relevant professional qualifications.

Experience sourcing candidates in Illinois or other US markets, particularly Chicago, is an advantage.

Proficiency in LinkedIn sourcing, Boolean search, Indeed, applicant tracking systems, and recruitment databases.

Strong communication, interviewing, screening, and candidate engagement skills.

Highly organized, proactive, resourceful, and results-driven.

Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and managing recruitment targets.

Willingness to work full-time with sufficient overlap with US Central Time business hours.
