About Teams Squared:
We are a team augmentation company dedicated to connecting exceptional remote talent with global organizations.
We are seeking an experienced US Immigration Paralegal with hands-on expertise in US business immigration, particularly H-1B and L-1 petitions, to support a US immigration law firm.
The ideal candidate will have personally prepared and filed H-1B and L-1 petitions and will be comfortable managing cases from intake through to filing and response. Knowledge of EB-5 investor visas is a strong advantage, and the role also includes some family-based immigration work.
Hands-on experience with US immigration filings is essential. This is a dedicated paralegal role focused on substantive legal work, not a combined legal assistant or executive assistant position. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week on US Eastern Time.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and assemble H-1B petitions, including cap, extension, amendment and transfer cases, together with Labor Condition Applications (LCAs).
Prepare L-1A and L-1B intracompany transferee petitions, including supporting evidence of the qualifying relationship, role and employment history.
Support EB-5 investor matters, including document collection, source-of-funds evidence and petition preparation, where applicable.
Prepare family-based immigration filings, such as I-130, I-485 and related forms.
Draft support letters, cover letters and exhibit lists, and compile complete, well-organised filing packages for attorney review.
Assist attorneys in drafting responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and other USCIS notices.
Gather and review information and documents from corporate clients, HR contacts and beneficiaries, following up on outstanding items.
Complete USCIS and Department of State forms accurately and file petitions with USCIS, including online filings.
Track case status, receipt notices, deadlines and expiry dates, and keep case records up to date in the firm's case management system.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and the attorney team by email and Microsoft Teams.
Stay current on US immigration regulations, USCIS policy updates and processing changes.
Qualifications:
A degree in Law, Legal Studies or Paralegal Studies, or an equivalent legal or paralegal diploma.
Hands-on experience preparing and filing H-1B and L-1 petitions is essential. Please be ready to share the number of filings you have handled for each visa type.
Candidates with around a year of strong experience in other US visa categories will also be considered, as training on H-1B and L-1 can be provided.
EB-5 experience or knowledge is highly desirable.
Experience with family-based immigration petitions is advantageous.
Sound understanding of USCIS forms, filing procedures, evidentiary requirements and RFE responses.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams is required. Experience with INSZoom or other immigration case management software is advantageous.
Excellent written and spoken English, with strong drafting skills and close attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines accurately.
Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, on US Eastern Time.
Ability to work independently in a remote working environment.
Benefits:
Competitive compensation package in foreign currency
Fully remote work
Regular initiatives for training and professional development.
If you are a driven legal professional with strong experience in US business immigration and are looking to work closely with high performing legal teams, we encourage you to apply.
Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further discussions.
Teams Squared is an equal opportunity employer, valuing diversity and inclusivity.
