As a Senior US Tax Accountant, you will support a growing financial management firm by driving tax preparation, quarterly compliance processes, and year-round bookkeeping activities. This role is tailored for a tax-first professional with extensive experience handling U.S. individual and small business returns. Working remotely and aligned with U.S. hours, you will collaborate directly with the Lead Tax Manager to manage recurring tax workflows, maintain meticulous client records, and deliver exceptional financial solutions.
Your Impact
Tax Preparation & Filings: Prepare and assist with U.S. individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
Quarterly & Extension Support: Manage extension filings and coordinate accurate quarterly estimated tax payments.
Documentation Management: Gather, organize, and rigorously review incoming tax documentation to ensure audit-ready files.
Bookkeeping & General Ledger: Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks within QuickBooks Online, maintaining clean client financial records.
Reconciliation & Month-End: Complete regular bank and credit card reconciliations and provide reliable support for month-end accounting activities.
Direct Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with the Lead Tax Manager on special tax projects, maintaining clear communication and high productivity.
What You Bring
The Experience: 4 to 5+ years of solid accounting and tax experience, with a demonstrated background in preparing U.S. tax returns.
Technical Mastery: Strong understanding of individual and small business taxation, extension filings, and quarterly estimates. High proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
The Mindset: A tax-first skill set with the independence to handle recurring tax work autonomously. You are collaborative, coachable, and possess a long-term professional growth mindset.
Operational Discipline: Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational capabilities, and a robust bookkeeping foundation.
Communication Prowess: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively during U.S. business hours.
