UX Designer / Senior UX Designer
Salary: Up to £72,000 (Mid-Level) / £82,000 (Senior) + Benefits
Active SC Clearance Essential – Non-Negotiable
This is an opportunity for both mid-level and senior UX Designers to make an impact at a leading global digital consultancy, specialising in cloud and digital transformation across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, utilities, telecommunications, energy and the public sector.
The consultancy is expanding its User-Centred Design (UCD) team and is looking for UX Designers at different levels to help deliver meaningful digital transformation programmes.
You will champion inclusive design practices throughout project lifecycles, ensuring solutions are accessible to as many users as possible. This includes engaging with diverse user research, applying accessibility guidelines and legislation, and advocating for inclusive design principles across your work and deliverables.
Level of experience
There are opportunities at both mid-level and senior level:
- UX Designer (Mid-Level): Looking for established UX Designers with solid commercial experience across user-centred design, prototyping, accessibility and the delivery of digital products and services.
- Senior UX Designer: Candidates must have previously operated in a senior UX Design role or demonstrate clear experience carrying out senior-level responsibilities. This includes taking ownership of design activities, influencing stakeholders, providing direction to others and helping drive design quality across projects. This is not an opportunity for someone looking to make their first step into a senior position.
Active SC clearance is an absolute requirement for both levels. Candidates must currently hold valid Security Check clearance. SC eligibility alone will not be sufficient.
Working arrangements and locations
- Predominantly remote working.
- Occasional client visits, typically 2–3 times per month, depending on project requirements.
- Locations: London, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow.
Essential requirements
- Experience working with relevant accessibility standards and legislation, including WCAG.
- Experience using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision Studio or Axure.
- Proven ability to create high-quality design concepts and artefacts, including personas, service maps and wireframes.
- Experience with rapid paper-based and digital prototyping.
- Ability to build dynamic prototypes using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Ability to analyse HTML and CSS code to identify accessibility issues.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Salary and package
- Mid-Level UX Designer: Up to £72,000.
- Senior UX Designer: Up to £82,000.
- Final salary will depend on the combination of experience, breadth of skills, seniority and individual salary expectations.
