The UX Designer III will research and design accessible TTA Hub experiences for Federal, regional, and contractor users while leading the content standards used across user guides, onboarding, and training materials. This is a Key Personnel position and will be named in our proposal.
Responsibilities
- Lead user research across Federal, regional, and contractor user groups.

- Lead design handoff and collaborate with engineering and product team members throughout implementation.
- Design accessible mobile and desktop workflows consistent with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS).
- Evaluate user experiences with assistive-technology users, as appropriate.
- Serve as the team's content strategist and writer, establishing consistent content patterns across the TTA Hub.
- Review and approve user guide, onboarding, and training language drafted by the Training Specialist.
- Maintain UX research artifacts and product and UX strategy records.
- Develop and maintain acceptance evidence for applicable sprints.
- Apply human-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and accessible content-design practices throughout the product lifecycle.
- Seven (7) or more years of experience delivering end-to-end UX work for production services, with a portfolio demonstrating user research, interaction design, and successful product launches.
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field, or equivalent portfolio-backed experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in human-centered design.
- Experience with information architecture and interaction design.

- Experience designing accessible digital content and user experiences.
- Visual design and prototyping experience.
- Experience translating user research and requirements into practical design solutions.
- Ability to develop clear, consistent user-facing content and content standards.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and obtain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS).
- Experience with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- Experience conducting or supporting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) testing.
- Experience designing complex data-entry workflows and dashboards.
- Experience conducting user research with Federal stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced UX professional who can take ownership of the complete user experience while balancing usability, accessibility, content, and program requirements. This individual is comfortable moving from research and discovery into detailed interaction design and working closely with technical teams through implementation.
We are looking for someone who is curious about how people actually use technology, skilled at translating research into practical design decisions, and committed to creating accessible experiences for a diverse user community. The successful candidate will also be a strong communicator and writer who can establish clear content standards and help ensure that product, onboarding, user guide, and training materials provide a consistent experience.
