VB.Net Developer

We are seeking an experienced VB.Net Developer to join an exciting project with one of our key financial services clients in Dublin. You will be focused on supporting a key Corporate Deposits platform, a business-critical in-house application.

The platform is a highly configurable and complex banking application that continues to play a key role in delivering deposit services. The successful candidate will contribute to both the ongoing support and enhancement of the application, while helping deliver significant regulatory changes as part of the AMLR programme.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a critical banking system, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a regulated environment.

This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days on site in Dublin.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance functionality within the Corporate Deposits application
• Support the delivery of AMLR programme requirements, including application enhancements, workflow changes, and user interface updates
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server database objects, including stored procedures, views, and queries
• Investigate and resolve production issues, ensuring application stability and performance
• Collaborate with business users and project stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and release activities
• Produce and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and support activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the application estate

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience developing applications using VB.NET
• 5+ years' experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing and optimizing stored procedures
• Strong experience supporting and enhancing business-critical enterprise applications
• Experience troubleshooting complex application and database issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience with Crystal Reports
• Experience within financial services, banking, or deposits platforms
• Knowledge of regulatory change programmes and working within regulated environments
• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle and change management processes
