Know how to spot a good used-car deal?

We are looking for an experienced automotive professional to find vehicles overseas, primarily in Japan, and coordinate their import, preparation and resale in Australia.

You will work remotely from the Philippines, partnering with auction agents, exporters, shipping providers and Australian mechanics and service providers.

What you will do

• Find vehicles through auctions, dealers and exporter networks.

• Assess vehicle condition, repair needs and resale potential.

• Calculate total costs and recommend a maximum buying price.

• Coordinate imports, repairs, transport and preparation for sale.

• Manage listings, buyer follow-up and local handover arrangements.

• Track costs, progress and profit for each vehicle.

What we are looking for

• Experience in used-car buying, vehicle appraisal, automotive purchasing or vehicle trading.

• Practical knowledge of mechanical issues, accident damage and repair costs.

• Ability to interpret auction sheets and recognize risky purchases.

• Strong commercial judgement, organization and communication skills.

• Confidence working independently with spreadsheets and online tools.

Japanese auction experience is highly valued. Australian import knowledge is an advantage. Japanese fluency is helpful but not essential if you can reliably interpret and verify vehicle information.

What is on offer

• Full-time work from home in the Philippines.

• Fixed monthly pay of 1,300 – 1,500 AUD, depending on experience.

• Commission equal to 5% of realized net profit per qualifying completed vehicle sale, subject to agreed terms.

• Opportunity to help build and grow an international vehicle trading operation.

Agreed availability during Australian and Japanese business hours is required.
