About TakeIn

TakeIn is a food delivery platform on a mission to make food delivery fairer — for customers and for restaurants. We launched in January 2025 in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and are live in production, processing real orders daily. We're hiring across product, engineering, and operations to scale what we've built.

The Opportunity

We’re building Take In, a food delivery app based in Dammam, and we’re looking for a Vendor & Logistics Partner to help us run a reliable delivery operation as we grow.

You’ll work closely with our Logistics Lead, taking ownership of an area and part of the daily operation. That means knowing where your drivers are, keeping orders moving, following up with delivery partners, and making sure cash collections add up.

You’ll see the impact of your work every day: better coverage during busy hours, fewer delivery mistakes, and customers getting their food on time. You’ll also help improve how logistics runs as we expand into new areas.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Keep drivers and orders moving. Follow up on driver availability, location, and performance throughout your shift. Spot problems early and act before they become missed deliveries.

  • Stay on top of dispatch. Most orders are assigned automatically through Tookan. Check that assignments make sense, correct them when needed, and group suitable orders along the same route without compromising delivery times.

  • Plan coverage around demand. Help organise drivers by area, shifts, and days off. Make sure the right capacity is available during peak hours, taking traffic, routes, and driver familiarity into account.

  • Manage delivery partners. Work with the third-party logistics vendors that supply drivers and motorbikes. Follow up on agreed coverage, availability, and service quality, and resolve gaps with the partner.

  • Connect the people handling an order. Coordinate with drivers, customer service, and restaurants when something goes wrong. Keep everyone clear on the next action and follow the issue through to resolution.

  • Own your cash collection follow-up. Collect and reconcile cash-on-delivery payments from drivers, keep accurate records, investigate differences, and complete the internal handover.

  • Use the numbers to improve the operation. Track driver performance, delivery times, assignment errors, and recurring issues. Turn what you find into practical changes.

  • Help prepare new areas for launch. Work with the Logistics Lead to assess driver capacity, coverage, and partner readiness as the business expands.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience in last-mile or delivery logistics, covering driver follow-up, dispatch, cash collection and reconciliation, and daily operational coordination.

  • Experience taking responsibility for an area or shift. You can explain the decisions you made, the problems you handled, and what improved because of your work.

  • Confidence working with drivers and frontline teams. You set clear expectations, follow through, and treat people with respect, including when the shift is under pressure.

  • Practical judgement when several things happen at once. You can prioritise a delayed order, a missing driver, and a coverage gap without losing sight of the wider operation.

  • Good computer skills and comfort using dispatch systems, spreadsheets, and operational reports. You’re willing to learn new tools and improve how the work gets done.

  • Clear communication with drivers, vendors, and the operations team, with working English for tools and team coordination.

  • Reliability, honesty, and initiative. You stay reachable during your shift, raise problems early, and take responsibility for resolving them.

Bonus

  • Experience with Tookan, a delivery management system, or similar dispatch and fleet tools.

  • A background in food delivery apps or third-party delivery operations.

  • Experience managing, onboarding, or assessing vendors that supply drivers and motorbikes.

  • Familiarity with Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran, and the delivery challenges across the Eastern Province.

  • Experience setting up coverage for a new area or improving an existing delivery operation.

How We Work

  • Your team: You’ll report to the Logistics Lead and work closely with operations, customer service, and our delivery partners.

  • Your working setup: The role is based in the Eastern Province and combines office, remote, and field work. Meeting drivers and collecting cash are part of the job.

  • Your schedule: Coverage follows delivery demand, including evenings and weekends. Shifts and days off are planned around the operation.

  • Your contribution: We’re a small team with direct communication and shared responsibility. We value people who get involved, suggest improvements, and help build processes that work as we grow.
