Vice President – Compliance

Role Description The Vice President – Compliance is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organization’s compliance framework across relevant regulatory environments. This position will lead the design and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and industry standards. Day-to-day activities include monitoring regulatory changes, conducting risk assessments, reviewing internal processes, and providing guidance to leadership on compliance-related issues. The Vice President – Compliance will collaborate with finance and operations teams, prepare reports for senior stakeholders, and support training initiatives to promote a strong compliance culture. The role also involves analyzing complex compliance matters, advising on new products or services, and recommending mitigation strategies where needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, with a strong understanding of applicable laws and industry standards.
• Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate risks, interpret regulations, and develop effective compliance controls.
• Knowledge of Finance and Financial Services, preferably with experience in sectors such as fintech, banking, or related industries.
• Proven leadership experience in a senior compliance or risk role, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in developing and delivering compliance training and awareness programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business, or a related field; advanced certifications in compliance or risk management (e.g., CRCM, CCEP) are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical standards.
