Vice President – Compliance

Role Description The Vice President – Compliance (part-time) will oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance frameworks related to health research, finance, and regulatory obligations. This hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site work and approved work-from-home arrangements. The position involves monitoring adherence to applicable laws, guidelines, and internal policies; reviewing research and financial activities for compliance risks; and advising leadership on regulatory changes affecting operations. The role includes developing and updating compliance policies, conducting periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and preparing reports and recommendations for senior management. The Vice President – Compliance will also support training initiatives to build compliance awareness and promote ethical conduct across programs.

Qualifications

• Strong Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance skills to design, implement, and oversee effective compliance frameworks.
• Robust Analytical Skills to assess risks, interpret complex regulations, and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Knowledge of Finance and Financial Services to evaluate financial practices, budgeting, and reporting from a compliance perspective.
• Experience in health research, public health, or government/regulatory environments is highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to develop policies, conduct audits or reviews, and lead corrective action efforts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record in leadership or senior management roles, preferably in compliance or risk management.
• Relevant advanced degree (e.g., law, finance, public health, management) or professional certification in compliance, risk, or audit is an advantage.
