From cutting-edge resources and a collaborative environment to the freedom to make an impact and more, you’ll find the ingredients you need at LPL Financial to shape your success while helping clients pursue their financial goals.

Job Overview:

The VP, Integrated Testing & Tooling Lead is accountable for integrated User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC). This role defines how UAT and integrated testing are planned, executed, governed, and signed off while ensuring solutions released to advisors and business partners align with expected business outcomes. The role serves as both a hands-on testing leader and the product owner for key testing and delivery-efficiency platforms, including Zephyr, JIRA, and Confluence. Working across a matrixed organization, this individual drives testing consistency, business-flow validation, release readiness, tool adoption, and continuous process improvement through automation and AI-enabled capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep knowledge of advisor and business workflows and serve as a product champion for the platform.
  • Design, execute, and validate UAT and integrated test scenarios across core business processes and end-to-end workflows.
  • Coordinate subject matter experts to support specialized testing activities and business validations.
  • Establish and govern UAT methodologies, testing standards, acceptance criteria, and stage-gate requirements across the PDLC.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations for release and conversion readiness decisions based on testing outcomes and business acceptance risk.
  • Define, monitor, and report testing metrics including execution rates, pass rates, defect trends, and business-flow coverage.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve testing speed, efficiency, and coverage.
  • Ensure testing practices align with regulatory, security, risk, and audit requirements.
  • Serve as product owner for testing and delivery-efficiency platforms, including Zephyr, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Define and maintain tooling roadmaps that improve planning, testing, documentation, traceability, and delivery efficiency.
  • Drive user adoption through governance, training, documentation, and best-practice standards.
  • Manage integrations across testing and delivery toolchains to support connected workflows and reporting.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize new tooling capabilities, automation solutions, and AI-enabled features.
  • Partner with Technology teams and vendors to support platform administration, upgrades, licensing, and support.
  • Own integrated testing activities across systems, business domains, and third-party vendors.
  • Design and certify end-to-end advisor lifecycle testing coverage for releases, enhancements, and platform conversions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional testing schedules, dependencies, environments, and test data requirements.
  • Establish and lead a UAT and integrated testing community of practice to drive consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product, Technology, Service, Operations, Engineering, and Quality Engineering teams to align testing activities with delivery objectives.

What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a hands-on testing and tooling leader who is motivated to pursue greatness, act with integrity, and is driven to help our clients succeed. The ideal candidate builds strong cross-functional partnerships, influences effectively across a matrixed organization, embraces continuous improvement, leverages technology and data to improve outcomes, and understands the value of collaborating to win together while helping teams create and share joy through high-quality delivery and operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in UAT leadership, integrated testing, end-to-end testing, quality assurance, or related disciplines, including large and complex programs.
  • Experience designing and executing UAT and integrated test scenarios across business-critical workflows.
  • Experience coordinating testing activities across a matrixed organization and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience developing deep working knowledge of business applications, platforms, and operational workflows.

Preferences:

  • MBA or relevant Master’s degree.
  • Experience as a product owner or administrator of testing and delivery tools such as Zephyr, JIRA, and Confluence, including configuration, integration, and adoption initiatives.
  • Experience leading testing activities in a regulated financial services environment, including large-scale platform conversions or migrations.
  • Experience defining testing metrics, acceptance criteria, readiness standards, and data-driven quality reporting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management experience with the ability to present testing risks and recommendations to senior leaders.

Pay Range:

$135,960.00 - $226,600.00
