Help Define the Future of Quantum Computing

We are partnering with one of Japan's most exciting and well-funded quantum computing startups to appoint a VP of Product developing next-generation quantum computing technology and has already secured significant venture funding, international investor backing, and major government-supported R&D programs.

The company is now entering a critical growth phase as it moves from breakthrough research towards commercial quantum systems and real-world customer deployment.

The Opportunity

As VP of Product, you will own the overall product vision, strategy, and delivery roadmap for a cutting-edge quantum computing platform.

You will sit at the intersection of science, engineering, and commercial strategy, translating breakthrough research into products that solve meaningful customer challenges.

You will also lead the delivery of major deployment projects, including government procurement programs, strategic partnerships, and large-scale innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Identify priority markets, customer segments, and commercial opportunities
• Partner closely with quantum scientists, engineers, and business leaders to align technical capabilities with market requirements
• Translate customer, technical, and business requirements into a unified product strategy
• Lead prioritization and product decision-making across the organization
• Oversee delivery of high-profile quantum computing deployment and commercialization projects
• Manage complex stakeholder environments across customers, partners, academic institutions, and government organizations
• Build the framework that takes the company from breakthrough technology to commercially successful products

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Product strategy, product management, or business development experience within quantum computing or a closely related deep-tech sector
• Strong technical foundation with the ability to engage credibly with scientists and engineers
• Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical expertise
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in highly technical environments
• Fluent communication skills in both Japanese and English

Highly Desirable

• Experience taking a product from 0 to 1
• Background leading commercialization of advanced technologies
• Experience delivering large government-funded or strategic R&D programs
• Knowledge of quantum hardware, quantum software, photonics, atomic physics, semiconductor technology, or advanced computing platforms
