Role Description The Video Editor (Volunteer) is responsible for editing video content that promotes Step-Up Summit’s programs, events, and key messages. Day-to-day tasks include assembling raw footage, selecting sound and visuals, applying transitions, and ensuring cohesive storytelling aligned with the summit’s brand and vision.

The volunteer will collaborate with organizers and content creators to produce highlight reels, social media clips, promotional videos, and recap content. This is a remote volunteer role, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to build a portfolio while contributing to a mission-driven initiative.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan and manage Video Production tasks, including organizing footage and maintaining a smooth workflow.
• Strong skills in Video Editing, with experience using common editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Proficiency in Video Color Grading to enhance visual consistency and overall image quality.
• Experience creating Motion Graphics and working with Graphics to support on-screen text, titles, and visual elements.
• Attention to detail, strong visual storytelling skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Good communication skills and comfort collaborating with a dispersed team via online tools.
• Prior experience editing event or promotional content is beneficial but not required.
