About Collateral Partners

Collateral Partners is a brand and communications firm working with clients across capital markets: private equity firms, asset managers, and founders going through raises, transactions and launches. Video is how we tell a growing share of those stories, from our own YouTube channel to documentary projects and content for our clients.

The role

We're hiring our first in-house Videographer & Editor. You'll be based in Dallas, working alongside our founder, and on the road a lot: travel across the US for shoots is a big part of this job.

The work is varied. One week you might be shooting and cutting content for our YouTube channel, the next you're on location for a documentary project or filming with a client. You'll set up the shot, light it, capture it and take it all the way through post-production. If you like variety, moving fast and owning the craft end to end, you'll enjoy this.

As our video function grows, so does this role.

What you'll do

  • Shoot: plan and set up shots, then operate camera on interviews, studio sessions and on-location work

  • Light and capture sound: build lighting setups and record clean audio that hold up on an owned channel

  • Edit and finish: take footage through post-production, from the cut to colour, sound and delivery across long-form, short-form and vertical formats

  • Travel: go wherever the story is, regularly flying to shoots with clients and on projects across the US

  • Run the day: look after kit, on-set logistics and small crews so every shoot runs smoothly

  • Collaborate: take a brief from our founder and team and turn it into something we're proud to publish

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years of professional experience shooting and editing

  • A reel that shows range and the taste to back it up

  • Strong command of camera, lighting and sound, especially for interviews

  • Advanced editing, ideally in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve

  • Fast, reliable turnaround without dropping the quality bar

  • Comfort working with senior clients and representing our firm on set

  • A scrappy, can-do attitude: you'll pick up whatever the shoot needs

  • Happy to travel frequently, often at short notice

Nice to have

  • Photography skills, from portraits to on-set stills

  • Experience on documentary or long-form projects

  • YouTube or video podcast production experience

  • Basic motion graphics

Details

  • Location: Dallas, Texas (hybrid, in the office alongside our founder)

  • Travel: frequent travel across the US for shoots
