About The Team
The Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology Department is part of the Allied Health and Clinical Support Services Directorate at the Royal Women's Hospital. Our team delivers specialist services across maternity, pelvic health, gynaecology, oncology and neonatal care and is recognised for its commitment to evidence-based practice, research, innovation and workforce development. We are leading a number of initiatives aimed at transforming women's health care and improving outcomes for women across Victoria.
About The Role
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Women's Health Physiotherapist to lead the development and evaluation of an innovative, Department of Health-funded program that will help shape the future of maternity physiotherapy services. Working at the Royal Women's Hospital, you will drive implementation of a new virtual model of care designed to improve access, recovery and outcomes for women after childbirth. Ideal for a clinician seeking to expand their leadership, project management and service design experience, this role offers the opportunity to influence care at both an organisational and broader health system level.
A Regular Day Will See You
- Leading implementation of the Virtual Maternity Physiotherapy Program, including project planning, stakeholder engagement, governance and reporting.
- Designing, evaluating and refining an innovative virtual model of care that aims to improve outcomes for women following birth.
- Monitoring program outcomes, analysing data and translating findings into recommendations for future service delivery and statewide scalability.
- Collaborating with consumers, clinicians and health service partners to support implementation, sustainability and continuous improvement of the program.
You are an experienced and motivated Women's Health Physiotherapist who enjoys combining clinical excellence with innovation and service development. You are excited by opportunities to lead change, influence healthcare delivery and contribute to work that has impact beyond a single organisation. You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about improving outcomes for women and families.
You’ll Bring With You
- Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA and postgraduate qualifications in Women's Health Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in pelvic health physiotherapy, including continence, pelvic floor dysfunction and pregnancy or postnatal-related conditions.
- Experience leading projects, service improvement initiatives, evaluation activities or implementation of new models of care.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in education, supervision, research, audit or quality improvement activities.
- The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and contribute positively within multidisciplinary teams.
At the Women’s you will enjoy a culture that is collaborative, supportive and passionate about learning. We have a strong sense of purpose, and engage in meaningful work every day. We offer our people a range of rewarding benefits, including:
- Up to $11,660 in salary packaging benefits, for living expenses, meals and holiday accommodation
- A suite of wellness initiatives designed to support you, including discounted financial, lifestyle and health options, and a comprehensive wellbeing program
- Public transport options at our doorstep and end of trip facilities for cyclists
- Onsite post office, eateries, retail stores and library services
- Breastfeeding and pumping rooms, and a range of daycare centres nearby
- Mentoring, learning and career development opportunities
- Five weeks annual leave, 17.5% leave loading, monthly ADO’s and purchased leave options
- Flexible, hybrid working arrangements
