Volunteer Manager

Description South Project is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young moms through mentorship, resources, and community support. We are looking for a volunteer to help by being a Volunteer Manager to assist with the coordination, and engagement of volunteers across all programs and initiatives. This is a remote volunteer position ideal for someone with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills who wants to gain experience in nonprofit management and make a meaningful impact. What You'll Do: Provide orientation, training, and ongoing support to volunteers. Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, responding to questions and concerns promptly. Match volunteers with opportunities that align with their skills and the organization’s needs. Coordinate volunteer recognition efforts, including appreciation events and communications. Collaborate with staff to identify and develop meaningful volunteer roles. Track and report on volunteer engagement to organizational leadership. Support the creation of a positive, inclusive, and welcoming volunteer culture. Time Commitment: Flexible, remote role Estimated 5-10 hours per week What we're looking for: Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Comfortable using digital tools in Microsoft 365. Flexible schedule with availability to connect with volunteers across time zones.
