Position Overview

Shaw Commercial is a global design leader in commercial flooring for some of the world’s most creative and innovative environments. Our vast, sustainable product offerings can be found in diverse markets such as workplace, healthcare, hospitality, education and multi-family dwellings; supporting the spaces in which we work, learn, live, play and heal. Shaw Commercial is represented by Shaw Contract, a global design leader, and Patcraft Commercial, a sustainable performance leader. Shaw Commercial is a part of Shaw Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. with more than $5 billion in annual sales and approximately 18,000 associates worldwide.

The Vice President of Strategic Accounts – Corporate Workplace provides enterprise-level sales leadership for Shaw Commercial’s End-Use Business channel, with accountability for accelerating Corporate Workplace growth across the South-Central United States. This role owns strategic account development, executive customer engagement, cross-brand alignment, and disciplined execution to expand account penetration, strengthen pipeline quality, and convert targeted opportunities into profitable growth. The preferred location is Dallas or Austin, Texas, where the greatest concentration of customers exists. Houston, Texas, or Denver, Colorado, may also be considered, with a strong preference for candidates located near a major metropolitan airport and positioned to travel efficiently throughout the territory

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a strategic account growth plan for a focused portfolio of priority Corporate Workplace accounts, mapping key decision-makers through SPPM and defining clear actions to win new business and expand existing relationships.
  • Lead executive-level engagement with key Corporate decision-makers, positioning Shaw Commercial as a strategic flooring partner across workplace environments.
  • Drive account productivity by expanding penetration within existing strategic accounts, identifying compelling events, and pursuing targeted prospects with a clear opportunity for alignment and growth.
  • Build and activate a network of in-market sales partners to capture opportunities across the multiple locations and markets served by national and global customers.
  • Align Commercial DVPs, Brand RVPs, sales teams, segment leaders, and marketing partners around account priorities, coordinated pursuit strategies, and consistent execution across all Commercial brands.
  • Build lateral influence across Shaw Industries to activate team selling, create brand multipliers, and increase the number and quality of salespeople actively calling on Corporate clients.
  • Use SFDC, Tableau, and related resources to manage pipeline visibility, track account activity, measure salesforce engagement, and advance targeted accounts through disciplined opportunity management.
  • Guide participation in RFPs, contracts, and customer agreements to improve conversion, strengthen customer alignment, and support profitable, long-term growth.
  • Partner with Brand Segment Managers, Brand Marketing Directors, and Shaw’s service and execution teams to equip the salesforce with the account insight, segment knowledge, and coordinated support required to grow the Corporate Workplace channel.
  • Travel regularly throughout the South-Central United States to build customer relationships, support strategic account engagement, and drive field execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years of commercial industry experience working with End-Use accounts, with demonstrated success managing complex Corporate or Strategic Account relationships.
  • Proven record of sales performance, account growth, pipeline development, and conversion of targeted Strategic Account opportunities.
  • Executive presence and credibility with senior customer stakeholders, including the ability to influence complex decisions across multiple functions and brands.
  • Strong lateral leadership, cross-functional coordination, and enterprise-level selling skills required to align teams without direct authority.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the South-Central territory.
  • Ability to communicate with clarity, confidence, and discipline in both written and verbal formats.

Highly Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial flooring experience, particularly within Corporate Workplace, strategic accounts, global accounts, or end-user sales.
  • Demonstrated success growing a substantial commercial sales portfolio through direct engagement with Corporate end users.
  • Experience developing relationships with senior Corporate Workplace decision-makers and understanding how large organizations specify, procure, contract for, and implement flooring solutions.
  • Knowledge of the Corporate Workplace segment, including its products, customer buying processes, channels, contracts, and project-delivery requirements.
  • Experience working across multiple markets or locations to grow national or global accounts and convert enterprise agreements into local project activity.
  • Background in a specified, installed commercial-interiors category that participates in the construction process; commercial flooring, tile, or closely related hard-surface experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience bringing together sales, marketing, service, operations, and field partners to execute a coordinated account-growth strategy.
  • Residence in Dallas or Austin, Texas; qualified candidates in Houston, Texas, or Denver, Colorado, could also be considered.
