Job Descriptions:
The Company is seeking a highly organized and analytical Remote Wave Planner & WMS Reporting Specialist to support daily warehouse fulfillment operations.
This position is responsible for planning, releasing, and monitoring order waves within the Warehouse Management System (WMS). The Wave Planner will work closely with warehouse supervisors, inventory, customer service, and IT to ensure orders are released accurately, prioritized correctly, and completed on schedule.

This is not simply a reporting position. The individual must actively monitor fulfillment throughout the day, identify problems, communicate exceptions, and help drive orders through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Wave Planning and Fulfillment

• Review open customer orders, transfers, routes, carrier deadlines, and order priorities.
• Build and release picking waves according to the warehouse's daily fulfillment schedule
• Confirm orders are assigned to the correct facility, inventory location, picking zone, and fulfillment method.
• Prioritize same-day orders, customer deliveries, intercompany transfers, carrier shipments, and other time-sensitive orders.
• Monitor wave progress throughout the day, including orders that have not started, partially completed orders, shorts, holds, and completed orders.
• Coordinate with warehouse supervisors when orders are falling behind or require immediate attention.
• Adjust, re-release, or cancel waves when operational priorities change.
• Prevent duplicate waves, missed orders, and orders being released to incorrect locations.
• Confirm all eligible orders have been released and completed before daily cutoff times.
• Maintain a daily log of unresolved fulfillment issues and communicate them during shift handoff. Daily Reporting

Prepare and distribute accurate daily reports, including:

• Daily fulfillment report
• Orders released, picked, packed, and shipped
• Open and incomplete ordersSame-day fulfillment performance
• Orders completed after cutoff
• Short-shipped order report
• Items and quantities shorted
• Reason for each short, when available
• Inventory available in alternate bins or locations
• Repeat shorted items
• Orders placed on hold or requiring intervention
• Wave productivity and completion status
• Additional WMS and warehouse reports requested by management
• Reports must clearly identify exceptions, responsible departments, required actions, and unresolved issues—not simply provide raw data.

Short-Ship and Exception Management

• Review shorted and partially fulfilled orders daily.
• Determine whether shortages are caused by inventory discrepancies, replenishment delays, incorrect bin locations, receiving issues, product damage, picking errors, or true out-of-stock conditions.
• Check alternate bins, overstock locations, and other facilities when appropriate.
• Communicate actionable shortages to warehouse, inventory, purchasing, and customer service teams.
• Track recurring short-shipped items and identify patterns requiring corrective action.
• Escalate orders that may miss customer or carrier deadlines.
• Maintain follow-up until significant fulfillment exceptions are resolved or formally assigned.
• WMS Support
• Perform routine WMS-related operational tasks, including order review, wave maintenance, allocation review, hold management, and exception monitoring.
• Assist users with basic WMS questions and workflow issues.
• Document system errors and provide clear examples to the internal IT or application support team.
• Test approved WMS process changes and confirm expected results.
• Help maintain WMS operating procedures, report definitions, and user instructions.
• Identify opportunities to improve wave logic, order prioritization, reporting, and warehouse workflows.
• Support inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and transfer-related WMS processes as assigned.
• Daily Operating Expectations

The Wave Planner must:

• Be online and responsive during assigned Texas warehouse operating hours.
• Monitor fulfillment continuously rather than only releasing waves at scheduled times.
• Communicate urgent issues immediately through Microsoft Teams, email, or the designated operating channel.
• Maintain accurate documentation of changes, exceptions, and unresolved problems.
• Participate in daily operational check-ins when required.
• Remain available during critical order-release and carrier-cutoff periods. Performance Measures

Success in this role will be measured by:

• Percentage of eligible orders released on timeSame-day fulfillment rateNumber of orders missed or released incorrectly
• Accuracy and timeliness of daily reportsShort-shipped order volume and follow-up completion
• Speed of identifying and escalating fulfillment exceptions
• Reduction in repeat WMS and wave-planning errors
• Quality of communication with warehouse and support teamsAccuracy of wave priorities, allocations, and order statuses

Required Qualifications:

• Experience using a Warehouse Management System in a distribution or fulfillment environment.
• Understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
• Experience planning, releasing, or monitoring picking waves.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including filters, lookups, pivot tables, and basic data analysis.
• Ability to analyze operational data and identify exceptions or recurring problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying closely connected to warehouse operations.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional remote workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Körber/HighJump WMS or a similar warehouse-management platform.
• Experience supporting a high-volume wholesale, grocery, convenience-store, or consumer-products distributor.
• Familiarity with order allocation, inventory holds, replenishment, intercompany transfers, carrier cutoffs, and short-shipment analysis.
• Experience building automated or recurring fulfillment reports.
• Experience working with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and warehouse reporting tools.
• Basic experience documenting and troubleshooting WMS issues.

Work Timings: 7:30 pm - 4 am PKT (Monday - Friday) & Saturday (4 hours - Half Day)
