Measures of success: Successfully develops requested applications using latest programming practices in a reliable and sustainable manner Timely completion of assigned tasks Effectively documents all completed development activities Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: A nalyz es user requests and develops code following best practices . T horoughly test s the results of the program for accuracy prior to releasing them to the production user environment. Develops, troubleshoots, debugs and implements web applications to achieve functionality between the front and back-end system . Works closely with company stakeholders during future application redesigns and database upgrades. Confirm s application objectives by analyzing and validating user requirements, identifying new features and functionality and streamlining and upgrading of existing features. Plan s w eb applications by evaluating product requirements and creating product specifications; analyzing existing and proposed systems; identifying constraints and technical issues. Develop s w eb applications by studying existing technology architecture , analyzing browser compatibility techniques , evaluating solution alternatives , developing prototypes and , building n-tier, scalable, and multimedia applications Program s objects, events, functions, error trapping, data verification, animations, interactions, and dynamic updating . D esign s , install s , and configur es databases and complet es documentation. Update s job knowledge by researching new web technologies , participating in educational opportunities , reading professional publications , maintaining personal networks , and participating in professional organizations. Accomplish es organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value . Maintains g ood communication skills with internal and external customers. Maintain s confidentiality of all business. Perform other duties as required or directed. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 5 + years of experience as a w eb a pplication d eveloper Strong skills in SQL Server, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic, C#, JavaScript, RESTful/ SOAP web services, Version Control, SDLC , and SQL Server Integration and Reporting Services Programming in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress platform a plus Travel is optional and limited to professional conferences and other company offices if needed Preferred: Master’s degree in computer science , Information Technology or Application Development Work Environment This position works primarily in an office environment using computer and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas. This position may work from home up to 2X/week if performance is in good standing. This position has no direct reports.
