Role Description This is a part-time, remote Web Developer role intended for undergraduate and graduate learners and is currently unpaid. The Web Developer will support the design, development, and maintenance of SJA Pathway’s web platforms, collaborating with mentors and other team members on live projects. Day-to-day tasks may include implementing front-end interfaces, integrating back-end services, troubleshooting bugs, improving site performance, and participating in code reviews. The role also involves documenting features, contributing to user experience improvements, and following best practices in security and accessibility. Individuals in this position will gain practical experience working with real products and platforms used by job seekers, students, and entrepreneurs.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Front-End Development and Web Design, including building responsive and accessible user interfaces.
• Foundational abilities in Back-End Web Development and general Web Development, with an understanding of server-side logic and integration.
• Core Programming skills and familiarity with common web technologies, frameworks, or libraries.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Ability to learn quickly, follow technical guidance, and collaborate effectively in a remote, project-based environment.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, with attention to detail and code quality.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and an interest in AI-powered tools, startups, or digital product development is beneficial.
