Role Overview

The Senior Functional Analyst will be responsible for analysing business processes, understanding business needs, and translating requirements into clear functional documentation. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that the proposed solution meets business expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Process Analysis: Analyse existing business processes and define how they should work in the future.
• Requirements Gathering: Organise and facilitate workshops and meetings with business stakeholders to collect, clarify and validate requirements.
• Process Mapping: Document business processes and workflows so that technical teams can understand and implement the required solutions.
• Functional Documentation: Prepare detailed functional specifications, user stories, use cases and other relevant project documentation.
• Business and Technical Coordination: Act as a link between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements.
• Solution Validation: Follow up throughout the project to ensure the implemented solution corresponds to the agreed business requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

• Agile / Scrum – Expert: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices and collaborative project delivery.
• BPMN – Expert: Ability to model, document and analyse business processes using Business Process Model and Notation.
• Storytelling – Confirmed: Ability to communicate business needs clearly through structured narratives and practical examples.
• Testing – Confirmed: Understanding of test scenarios, business validation and requirements verification.
• UML – Confirmed: Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language for representing systems, workflows and interactions.
• Use Cases – Confirmed: Ability to document user interactions, business scenarios and expected system behaviour.
• User Stories – Confirmed: Ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories.

Language Requirements

Candidates should specify their proficiency level in each of the following languages:

• French
• Dutch
• English

Working Conditions

• The candidate must be willing to work onsite in Brussels at least twice per week.
• Remote work is permitted only within Belgium.
• The assignment duration is 2 months.
