We’re partnering with a large Canadian healthcare organization seeking a Technical Test Lead to support a provincial Workday HCM and Payroll transformation spanning approximately 200,000 employees.

As the program prepares to transition from configuration into end-to-end testing, you’ll lead Data Conversion Validation (DCV) and System Integration Testing (SIT). Working across business, technical and implementation partner teams, you’ll coordinate test readiness, execution, reconciliation and defect resolution across a complex, multi-organization environment.

This is a remote, initial 12 month contract with potential for extension. Candidates must be based in Canada.

𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:

🔹𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 – Workday Technical Test Lead

🔹𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 – Large Canadian healthcare organization

🔹𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲 – 12-month contract, with potential extension

🔹𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 – ASAP

🔹𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 - Remote

🔹𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - Canada

🔹𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 - C$80 to C$110 per hour, dependent on experience

🔹𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 – Data conversion validation, integration testing and technical test delivery

🔹𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 – Multi-wave Workday transformation, with deployments planned through 2029

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:

🔸5+ years of enterprise testing or QA experience, including leading testing activities and coordinating cross-functional teams.

🔸Proven experience leading data conversion validation across repeated conversion cycles, including source-to-target reconciliation, validation rules and exception management.

🔸Strong system integration testing experience covering file/API interfaces, data transformations, error handling and third-party dependencies.

🔸ERP or HCM testing experience across HR, payroll and downstream processes.

🔸Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or a comparable test-management platform, plus strong data analysis and reconciliation skills using advanced Excel, SQL or similar tools.

🔸Confident coordinating business stakeholders, technical teams and vendors, with clear reporting on defects, risks and test readiness and experience handling sensitive employee data.

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲:

🔹Direct Workday HCM, Payroll, data conversion and integrations experience.

🔹Familiarity with Workday reporting, EIB, Core Connectors or Workday Studio.

🔹Healthcare, public sector or large, unionized environments.

🔹Experience supporting E2E, payroll parallel, regression testing and production cutover.
