What does this team do?
In M&A Analytics, we empower clients and businesses who are buying and selling companies to make informed decisions. We do this through the use of precise, data-driven insights, backed by analytics.
Our team specialises in analysing complex datasets, identifying and explaining key business trends that will support companies during a merger or acquisition, before, during and after transactions.
What sets us apart is our innovative use of advanced analytics tools and methodologies, combined with a deep understanding of the M&A landscape. Our role offers a unique blend of challenges, positioning you at the forefront of data analytics in the M&A sector. Join us to put your analytical skills to use, drive impactful results, and contribute to important decisions for our clients.
What skills and academic qualifications do I need?
You’ll need to have obtained or be studying towards a minimum 2:1 in any degree discipline and have graduated by September 2027 for the Autumn 2027 intake.
What kind of work will I do?
As an M&A Analytics professional at Deloitte, you will dive into a dynamic environment where your insights drive impactful decisions. From day one, you'll collaborate on high-profile projects, harnessing the power of data to uncover trends, solve complex problems, communicate your insights to clients and shape strategy for a wide range of businesses across all sectors.
Expect to apply advanced analytical tools and techniques, while working alongside a team of experts who are leaders in their fields. You will be encouraged to think creatively, innovate solutions, and see the direct influence of your work on our clients' success. Here, you’ll not just crunch numbers but transform data into actionable intelligence, making a tangible difference to our clients as they pursue their M&A strategy.
Where will I work?
At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you’re in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.
All our workspaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team.
How will I develop?
During your first few weeks with the firm, you will receive training that has been designed to cover the core components of the work the team delivers for clients. Our ambition is to support our people to achieve their personal and professional goals by providing access to a wide range of quality learning materials and opportunities.
As a new member of the team, you are empowered to become part of a client project and begin understanding and solving complex problems. We will provide support and ongoing training to allow you to learn how to handle confidential information, deliver quality work, and help build and maintain relationships with key clients.
