The AME Leader – Wind Generator & Cabinets will lead advanced manufacturing engineering activities for generator and cabinet manufacturing within Wind Manufacturing. This role is responsible for tooling, equipment, process definition, industrialization, and standardization to support product launches, plant performance, and cost competitiveness.

Role Summary

This leader will own manufacturing methods, tooling, equipment, and process definition for generator and cabinet manufacturing. The role will lead specification development, sourcing support, FAT/SAT, commissioning, standardization, continuous improvement, and support for NPIs and plant operations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead advanced manufacturing engineering activities for generator and cabinet manufacturing operations
• Own tooling, equipment, and manufacturing methods for generator and cabinet production
• Develop and define new processes, tooling, and equipment to support engineering NTIs and product launches
• Lead specification development, sourcing support, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and handoff to operations
• Standardize equipment design, process methods, and best-known practices across plants
• Support factory launch of NPIs and capacity ramp-up
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-out initiatives
• Develop PFMEA, control plans, process validation plans, and capability improvement actions
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action development for chronic manufacturing issues
• Provide manufacturing input into product development and support DFM/DFA improvements
• Build technical capability and foster strong safety, quality, and compliance culture

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Significant experience in manufacturing engineering, industrialization, tooling/equipment development, or operations support in a complex industrial environment
• Experience with process validation, equipment deployment, and production ramp-up
• Experience leading technical teams and cross-functional projects
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills

Desired Characteristics

• Experience in generator manufacturing, cabinet assembly, electro-mechanical systems, test processes, or heavy industrial production
• Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset
• Knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, process capability, and validation methods
• Ability to influence across functions and standardize solutions across multiple sites
• Strong focus on execution and measurable business outcomes
