Automotive Technician

Promptly Recruitment is partnering with a major Irish motor group to recruit three experienced Technicians for one of their busy franchised main dealer workshops in West Dublin.

This is an opportunity to join one of the largest automotive retail and aftersales groups in Ireland, in an established workshop where senior-level experience is valued and rewarded through a strong basic salary and a productivity-based bonus.

The Package

• Basic salary of €40,000 - €44,000, depending on experience

• Productivity and target-based bonus on top of basic salary

• Permanent, full-time position with a large, stable Irish motor group

• Three positions available, with successful candidates ideally starting before the end of the year

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and service vehicles to manufacturer specifications, ensuring the highest quality of service to customers

• Carry out all service and repair work in line with manufacturer best practice

• Use manufacturer technical information systems and diagnostic equipment to ensure accurate diagnosis and first-time fixes

• Maintain safe working practices in full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company standards

• Work as an integral member of the workshop team, supporting colleagues and contributing to workshop performance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technician in a franchised main dealer environment (essential)

• Ford experience is highly desirable, however main dealer experience with any manufacturer will be considered

• Senior-level technical ability, confident with diagnostics and complex mechanical and electrical repairs

• Literate and numerate, with good communication skills

• Full, current driving license (essential)
