Backend Engineer

About the Role

Join a healthcare AI engineering team building backend systems that automate administrative clinical workflows and help patients access care sooner. You will develop agentic infrastructure for customer onboarding and help ensure clinical information is processed securely and reliably.

What You'll Do

• Architect and deploy backend systems that process high volumes of data through APIs.

• Build and maintain secure, reliable infrastructure for AI agents handling clinical information.

• Shape product iterations by incorporating direct customer feedback.

• Own critical backend infrastructure and guide its technical evolution.

• Scale systems to support customer onboarding and company growth.

What We're Looking For

• Either 0 to 1 years of professional backend development experience, or 5 or more years in software engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical role.

• Experience shipping production software or systems, proficiency in Python, and experience with at least one major programming or systems language.

• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or similar tools, plus an understanding of prompt engineering.

• A GitHub profile demonstrating active, meaningful contributions.

• Currently employed in a role at an established company, with an interest in building impactful healthcare products.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $120,000 to $250,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.

On-site, five days per week. Primary location: Los Angeles, California, United States.
