Backend / Full Stack Software Engineer

About the Role

Join an engineering team building financial infrastructure for nonprofit payments. In this hands-on role, you will own systems from architecture through production and help shape reliable payment products.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain backend applications and components that support payment services.

• Own engineering work from system design through implementation, release, and production support.

• Contribute to architecture decisions across APIs, backend services, and infrastructure.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teammates on technical designs and tradeoffs.

• Improve monitoring and alerting to better understand system and user behavior.

• Work across the platform, contributing to backend and full-stack projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Two to ten years of backend engineering experience, with a track record of building scalable systems end to end.

• A bachelor's degree in a technical field and strong software engineering fundamentals.

• Proficiency in Go or Node.js, plus experience with PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and gRPC.

• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, and experience with Terraform and AWS.

• Fintech or payments infrastructure experience is valuable; experience at a startup or established technology company is also relevant.

• Clear communication, sound technical judgment, and comfort working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
