Who we are
GCG Structuring is a boutique corporate structuring and advisory firm — not a business setup company. We work with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, principally from the CIS, Europe and MENA regions, designing multi-jurisdiction holding structures, trusts and wealth architecture. We operate across all UAE jurisdictions — DIFC, ADGM, mainland and the free zones — alongside offshore and international jurisdictions, and we are held to a standard of precision that reflects the complexity of the clients we serve.
Client banking is central to what we sell, and it is the hardest part of our business to staff.
Why this role exists
We have spoken to a great many compliance professionals who understand banking in theory. What we keep not finding is someone who has actually sat on both sides of the desk — inside a bank, and then across from one, placing clients into accounts. That combination is genuinely scarce in this market, and it is precisely what this role requires.
This is not an administrative seat. You will own client banking end to end, and you will be the person our account managers and our clients turn to when a file is difficult.
What you will do
Bank selection and placement
- Read a client profile and know — directly, without research — which bank will take it, and on what terms.
- Determine the appropriate banking route, jurisdiction and institution for each client structure.
- Prepare and present client files to banks, and drive applications through to account opening and after-services.
- Set realistic expectations with clients and colleagues on what is achievable and in what timeframe.
Relationships and escalation
- Build and hold direct relationships with relationship managers and onboarding teams across the UAE and relevant international banks.
- Resolve bank queries and requests for information through to completion, on the client's behalf.
- Handle declines: diagnose the real reason, rework and reposition the file, and place it elsewhere.
- Advise clients directly and credibly on what a bank will and will not accept — and structure accordingly.
Working with compliance
- Work alongside our compliance function on CDD and EDD, UBO analysis, and source of wealth and source of Funds.
- Pre-empt and mitigate risk factors in a file before it reaches the bank, rather than after.
- Serve as the internal point of reference for client teams on banking questions.
What we are looking for
- Both sides of the desk. Time inside a UAE bank, and hands-on experience placing clients into accounts from the client side.
- Live relationships with UAE relationship managers and onboarding teams that you can use from day one.
- Complexity. Our clients are not standard business current accounts — multi-layer ownership, cross-border source of funds, offshore holding chains, and sometimes higher-risk jurisdictions. We will want to understand how much of that you have handled.
- An advisor, not an administrator. The role exists to enable good business within a sensible risk framework.
- Credibility in front of UHNW clients — the composure to sit in the room and be believed.
Valued, not required
- AML or compliance certification (CAMS, ICA or equivalent).
- Russian or Arabic alongside English.
- Exposure to DIFC and ADGM, offshore jurisdictions, or private banking onboarding.

Compliance and banking is intended to become a service line in its own right — a business inside the business.
Whoever takes this seat is expected to help build it, resource it, and grow with it. Scope, team, and compensation are expected to move with that.
