Business Development Manager (Commercial Catering Equipment)

Enzone Global Limited | Barking, London (IG11 8BB) | Full time, on-site, 37.5 hours per week | £55,200 per year | Visa sponsorship available

Company Description

Enzone Global Limited is a UK-based supplier of professional commercial kitchen and food-service equipment. We supply businesses across the UK with equipment for cooking, food preparation, refrigeration, beverage service, storage, heating, holding and specialist food processing. Our customers include restaurants, cafes, takeaways, hotels, caterers and other trade buyers. We focus on understanding what each customer needs, giving clear and competitive quotations, and building long-term relationships based on trust, reliability and good communication.

Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at our office in Barking, London. You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the UK food-service and hospitality sector, building and managing relationships with key trade customers, and growing Enzone Global’s wholesale and B2B sales.

Day-to-day, you’ll prospect and qualify new trade and wholesale leads, prepare quotations and proposals for multi-item and repeat orders, and negotiate pricing, volumes and terms to close deals. You’ll manage our key accounts and make sure our largest customers get the right equipment, timely quotations and good after-sales support. You’ll plan and develop our presence on online B2B and marketplace platforms, decide which channels to focus on and set targets for them. You’ll work with suppliers on pricing, stock availability and lead times so we can offer competitive quotes. You’ll analyse market trends and competitor activity, recommend changes to our product range and pricing, track sales performance and margins, and provide regular reports and forecasts to the director. The role also involves attending trade shows and industry events, building a strong professional network in the food-service sector, and making sure every customer and prospect gets prompt, professional follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Proven business development and sales management skills, including lead generation, pipeline management and closing deals with business customers.
  • Experience in key account management and client relationship-building, ideally in commercial catering equipment, food-service, hospitality, wholesale or a related trade sector.
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the confidence to deal with business owners, buyers and suppliers.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking, including market research, opportunity assessment, pricing and revenue forecasting.
  • Experience managing sales through online B2B or marketplace platforms.
  • Good organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage several accounts and projects at once.
  • Comfortable using CRM and sales tools, and confident with standard office software such as spreadsheets, presentations and documents.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A proactive, results-focused attitude, with a commitment to honest and ethical business practices.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Barking and travel to customer sites, suppliers and trade events across the UK when needed.

What We Offer

  • Salary of £55,200 per year.
  • Permanent, full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • The opportunity to shape the growth of a growing UK business, working directly with the director.
  • Statutory holiday entitlement and workplace pension.
  • Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available for the right candidate.
