Contemporary Catering is looking for an experienced Chef to join our aged care catering team in Rooty Hill, NSW.
We are particularly interested in Spanish-speaking chefs with experience, knowledge or a genuine passion for Spanish and South American cuisine, including Brazilian, Peruvian, Colombian, Argentinian and Chilean cooking.
This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your cultural and culinary knowledge into the kitchen, helping us provide residents with meals that are not only fresh and nutritious, but also familiar, culturally appropriate and enjoyable.
You’ll work as part of an established catering team preparing high-quality meals while meeting individual dietary and texture-modified requirements.
- Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality meals in a commercial kitchen
- Bring ideas and knowledge of Spanish and South American dishes, flavours and cooking styles
- Provide variety and culturally appropriate meals for residents
- Cater to dietary and texture-modified requirements, including IDDSI
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and food safety
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and care teams
- Assist with menu planning, ordering and stock control
- Minimise food waste and maintain appropriate stock levels
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Commercial kitchen experience as a Chef
- Spanish language skills – highly regarded
- Experience or strong knowledge of Spanish and/or South American cuisine
- A passion for fresh, quality food and sharing your culinary knowledge
- Confidence working in a high-volume kitchen
- Strong food safety and hygiene practices
- An understanding of dietary requirements
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications
- Australian working rights or eligibility for sponsorship
- Previous aged care and IDDSI experience is desirable but not essential
- Permanent full-time position
- Sunday to Thursday roster
