Chief Executive Officer — Natural Gas Projects & Energy Services

🤝 Shape the company’s direction, develop commercially viable projects and build an energy business customers can depend on.

We’re looking for a Chief Executive Officer to lead the development, strategy and overall performance of a natural gas projects and energy services business.

Our project plan focuses on four areas: industrial heating upgrades and energy service agreements; agricultural renewable natural gas development; enterprise gas procurement and energy management; and mobile CNG/LNG supply and equipment rental.

You’ll work with shareholders, the leadership team and specialist partners to assess these opportunities, establish business priorities and progress viable projects from feasibility through to commercial operation.

**Your leadership remit**

Define the company’s long-term strategy, market positioning and annual business priorities, determining which planned business lines to develop first based on customer demand, project economics and available resources.

Take accountability for budgets, capital deployment, revenue, profitability, cash flow and overall organisational performance.

Build and develop the leadership team, establishing clear responsibilities across commercial development, engineering, operations, safety and finance.

Lead the development of industrial heating projects, including boiler upgrades, heat recovery and, where commercially appropriate, combined heat and power. Structure energy service agreements around clearly defined investment responsibilities, measured performance and customer payment terms.

Evaluate agricultural renewable natural gas opportunities, bringing together feedstock providers, farm partners, technology suppliers and gas buyers. Ensure project decisions reflect feedstock availability, gas quality requirements, delivery options and long-term offtake arrangements.

Develop the company’s gas procurement and energy management offering, helping industrial and multi-site customers improve demand forecasting, contract management and visibility over energy costs.

Assess and develop mobile CNG/LNG supply and equipment rental services for industrial customers requiring temporary supply or an alternative to pipeline connections.

Lead strategic customer relationships and major negotiations covering gas supply, offtake, equipment procurement, project delivery and long-term service agreements.

Build partnerships with qualified local engineering, construction, transport and maintenance providers. Evaluate international equipment sourcing against certification requirements, delivery costs, spare parts availability and local service support.

Set company-wide standards for safety, environmental performance, asset integrity and dependable service, holding operational leaders accountable for delivery and maintenance.

Establish investment approval and risk management processes covering commodity prices, customer credit, supply continuity, project execution and operating performance.

Ensure effective governance, financial controls and clear reporting to shareholders or the board, with measurable milestones from initial feasibility through commissioning and ongoing operations.

**The experience we value**

Senior executive or general management experience in natural gas, industrial energy services, distributed energy, renewable natural gas or a closely related infrastructure business.

A demonstrated record of full profit-and-loss responsibility, leadership team development and commercially disciplined business growth is essential.

You should bring experience building a new business or expanding a business line, with the ability to turn an early-stage project plan into a practical operating model and measurable results.

Experience in one or more of our planned business areas—industrial heating and energy service agreements, agricultural renewable natural gas, enterprise gas procurement, or mobile CNG/LNG supply—would be particularly valuable.

An understanding of project feasibility, capital budgeting, supply and offtake agreements, equipment lifecycle costs and long-term service economics is important.

You should be comfortable evaluating investment cases under changing gas prices, customer demand and operating conditions, and distinguishing contracted revenues from potential incentives or environmental attribute income.

Strong financial management, commercial negotiation and executive communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to lead specialist teams responsible for safe and reliable operations.
