Credit Officer, Shinhan Bank Hong Kong Branch (Korean speaking)

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Credit Officer to join our Credit Office Team in Hong Kong.

Key Highlights

• Review credit proposals across Corporate Finance, Acquisition Finance, Real Estate Finance, and Project Finance
• Independently prepare and write comprehensive credit reports in Korean without supervision
• Conduct credit rating assessments and in-depth financial analysis
• Present credit recommendations to local and Head Office loan committees
• Regional and cross-border exposure across various industries and jurisdictions

Responsibilities

• Review credit proposals and independently prepare high-quality credit reports in Korean without supervision
• Conduct detailed credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment
• Research and obtain relevant market, industry, and borrower information required for credit evaluation
• Present credit reports and recommendations to local and Head Office loan committees
• Perform ongoing monitoring and periodic credit reviews of portfolio assets
• Adapt quickly to different industries, countries, counterparties, and product types
• Prepare management reports, committee materials, and ad hoc presentations as required
• Support various ad hoc assignments while managing tight deadlines with a can-do attitude
• Travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and business purposes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above from a recognized university
• Native or professional working proficiency in both English and Korean is required.
• Proficiency in Mandarin or other Asian languages is a plus.
• Eligible to obtain a Hong Kong employment visa without restriction

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with domestic or international financial institutions; or
• 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, credit approval, or related credit review functions; or
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, AICPA, CFA, Certified Credit Analyst, or equivalent
