Critical Care Transport Paramedic – Ground Transport Supervisor

Location: Boise, Idaho

Schedule: Full-time or Part-time (48-hour schedules available)

About Ascent

Ascent Medical Transport is a clinician-led, high-performance EMS agency built to raise the regional standard of care. We're expanding rapidly – our partnerships and facility contracts are growing, and with them, our need for exceptional talent. Every decision we make is rooted in clinical excellence, patient safety, and the relentless pursuit of better.

If you're a critical care professional who thrives on growth, accountability, and being part of something special – you'll fit right in. If you're not wired to give your best every day, this isn't your place.

Why Ascent

We're not another transport company. We're a team of elite clinicians building something rare – a culture that rewards skill, attitude, and purpose. You'll work alongside seasoned leaders and medical directors who have built and led some of the top air and ground critical care programs in the West. At Ascent, you'll operate in an environment designed to let you practice at the true top of your scope, with advanced protocols, rigorous training, and continuous growth opportunities.

Ascent is growing quickly, and the clinician leaders who join us now will define what comes next.

Ground Critical Care transport with Ascent rivals air medical interfacility transports in acuity. If you are skilled at managing intubated, ventilated patients with central and arterial lines, infusion pumps, transvenous pacers, Swan Ganz catheters, Impella's, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and more, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

  • Be the lead critical care transport clinician for high-acuity patients, managing advanced ventilatory, hemodynamic, and pharmacologic support in coordination with sending/receiving facilities.
  • Apply advanced clinical judgment under the oversight of standing orders and direct medical control.
  • Operate as part of a Critical Care Team (CC Paramedic + RN or ALS Paramedic + EMT), maintaining clear, disciplined communication in high-stakes environments.
  • Uphold Ascent's uncompromising standards of safety, documentation, and professionalism.
  • Participate in QA/QI initiatives, case reviews, and continuing education to ensure clinical excellence.

What We're Looking For

  • Idaho Paramedic License or Compact/Replica state compliant; NREMT-P highly recommended
  • FP-C, CCP-C, or CCEMT-P certification required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, ICS 100 and 700 required
    • OB STAT and NRP preferred
  • Minimum 1-year critical care, ground or flight, transport experience required. 3-5 years preferred.
  • Proven mastery in airway management, ventilator operation, vasoactive medication titration, and critical decision-making. Advanced heart failure management through IABP/Impella plus arterial and central lines required.
  • A growth-oriented mindset, teamwork, and commitment to excellence
  • Clean driving record and flexibility for varying shifts including on-call chase car scenarios.
  • Management tasks such as quality assurance review, protocol development, policy writing, scheduling, operational projects, etc. required.
  • Participate in ALS shift coverage when required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay reflective of experience and certification level
  • Relocation assistance and/or sign-on incentives available for the right candidates
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Advanced clinical training, mentorship, and continuous education pathways
  • A culture that values excellence, humility, and integrity above everything else

Ready to ascend? We're building Idaho's premier critical care transport program. If you have the skill, mindset, and heart to help us redefine what ground EMS can be, apply today.
