Within an international conglomerate who specialise in Oil and Gas, Energy and Drilling, there is a development of IT Security within the European Headquarters, based in Amsterdam. My client operate in a variety of fields, however this role will focus strongly on their Energy based projects which has, which has expanded enormously and successfully in recent years, as the need to introduce 'clean and green' energy has increased. Technical prowess is essential for the successful candidate. As the business grows and begins to operate on a highly international platform, inevitably the need to develop technically and to introduce more stringent security measures will be grow exponentially. Ideally the candidate will have proven ability developing high level security measures in a commercial or industrial environment - automotive, manufacturing, oil and gas or indeed specific energy sector knowledge will be a bonus; however applicants with a 'lighter' industrial background should still apply if they have they have significant experience of the required technical skills. The incumbent will sit beneath the CIO and Head of Global Audit who currently reside and conduct activities from Latin America, due to emerging market growth. Your ability to develop this program on a global scale will ensure that a high level of international travel is required. You will operate in a team of 4 IT specialists who you will be directly responsible for; specifically their career development, training and initially their recruitment.
