Deputy Head of School

We're seeking a Deputy Head to work alongside the Head of School and leads operations and academics across the full K-12 continuum. You will drive daily operations, lead safeguarding, and keep teaching and learning continuous across the PYP, MYP and DP.

Key responsibilities

• Lead K-12 curriculum alignment so students move smoothly between PYP, MYP and DP
  
• Promote inquiry-based, student-centred learning and the IB Learner Profile
  
• Use data to track student progress and coordinate interventions
  
• Lead performance management, classroom observations and professional development
  
• Support recruitment, onboarding and mentoring of new staff
  
• Lead child protection and safeguarding across the school
  
• Oversee pastoral care, guidance and student wellbeing from Early Years to graduation
  
• Manage daily operations, including timetabling, cover, resources and health & safety
  
• Contribute to accreditation, quality assurance and strategic planning
  
• Build strong, open relationships with parents and the wider island community
  

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership or a related field
  
• Minimum 8 years’ international school experience, with significant K-12 exposure
  
• Proven leadership in an IB World School (Principal, Deputy, Coordinator or HoD)
  
• Practical experience implementing PYP, MYP and/or DP
  
• Strong knowledge of accreditation standards, safeguarding and data-driven school improvement
