IB Diploma Programme Coordinator

Key responsibilities

• Act as the school’s official liaison with the IBO and maintain all programme documentation
  
• Manage internal assessments, external exams, IBIS entries and coursework deadlines
  
• Lead programme evaluation and self-study preparation
  
• Establish DP policies on academic honesty, assessment, language and SEN
  
• Oversee TOK, the Extended Essay and CAS, including EE supervision and CAS tracking
  
• Work with PYP and MYP coordinators so students transition smoothly into the DP
  
• Teach a reduced DP timetable
  
• Track student progress and support Grade 9 and 10 students moving into the DP
  
• Work with counsellors on university pathways and course selection
  
• Chair DP faculty meetings, lead professional development and mentor new DP teachers
  
• Carry out classroom visits with HoDs to monitor assessment standards
  
• Run parent workshops and information evenings

Requirements

• Degree plus a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or international equivalent)
  
• Formal IBDP training
  
• Extensive IB DP teaching and assessment experience
  
• Leadership experience in a secondary setting, ideally in curriculum coordination or as a HoD
  
• Excellent written and spoken English
