What You'll Do
- Lead, support and mentor a team of educators
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service
- Build strong partnerships with children, families, staff and the local community
- Manage rosters and ensure regulatory ratio requirements are met
- Drive continuous improvement and service compliance
- Support staff development, recruitment and performance
- Manage service budgets and funding
- Oversee Workplace Health & Safety requirements
- Deliver curriculum in accordance with One Tree's philosophy as the service's Educational Leader
- Act as Responsible Person, First Aid Officer and Nominated Supervisor of the service
- Strong leadership experience in early childhood education — experienced 2ICs or Assistant Directors ready to step up are encouraged to apply
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience building positive relationships with staff, families and community
- Experience supporting high-quality practice in an early education and care setting
- Experience leading and developing staff
- A commitment to continuous improvement and quality service delivery
- Knowledge of relevant state and Commonwealth legislation and regulations
- A willingness to embrace regional living and become part of the Carnarvon community
- Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent
- Clear WA Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
- Current Senior First Aid and CPR certificates
- Valid driver's licence
