EHS Assistant Opportunity, Iraq (#970)

An international leading company with offices in the 6 continents and with 20 years experience on thousands of projects worldwide providing variable work force solutions and engineering services to the Power Generation and Oil & Gas industries. EHS Assistant Reporting to: EHS Specialist Responsibilities: EHS Assistant is responsible to ensure the safe exposure of employees towards assigned tasks. Being key member of the Management Team at site, it is the responsibility of Site EHS Leader to assist developing an effective EHS system. Duties:  He will assist the development and implementation of EHS programs and systems.  He will assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable EHS standards, improving and implementing safety directions and policies.  Generating and coordinating any reports assigned by EHS Specialist.  Coordination on compliance to EHS procedures, local and federal Government regulations (including all environmental, safety, health and safety, audits and inspections, recordkeeping, training)  Coordinating all EHS activities at the plant.  Overseeing the effectiveness of firefighting/prevention program i.e. Is the firefighting device maintained in good condition, record are kept, inspections and fire drills are carried out. Education and/or Experience The candidate must be a graduate(with Environmental Sciences as Major) and have 3-5 years' related experience.  Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.  Write routine reports and correspond in English language.  Speak effectively to employees of the organization.
