THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
Santander UK Finance Governance & Control is looking for a Finance Risk and Controls Senior Manager based out of Milton Keynes.
Manage the teams responsible for oversight of the Santander UK S-Ox compliance programme, AORP compliance and Operational Risk and Control activities within Financial Control.
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
Manage the Santander UK Sarbanes-Oxley (S-Ox) programme for Finance, maintaining a robust control environment and compliance with the Group S-Ox model.
Report S-Ox and operational risk matters to Senior Management, Group and BAC as required.
Liaise with external auditors and use audit findings to improve the control model.
Support the annual S-Ox certification campaign and deliver independent design and operational effectiveness testing of S-Ox controls.
Oversee deficiency identification, reporting and remediation, including issues arising from internal audit, external audit and operational risk incidents.
Support business areas to implement appropriate financial controls when bank changes affect accounting.
Manage the Line 1 Operational Risk strategy for Finance, including risk reporting, the Finance Risk and Control meeting, policy compliance, RCSA refresh and assurance activity.
Lead people management in line with Santander UK people and talent policies, including performance, development, training and absence management.

Professional Experience:
Experience managing S-Ox compliance and financial control activities (Required)
Experience overseeing operational risk and control activities in a Finance environment (Required)
People management experience, including performance, development and training responsibilities (Required)
Experience reporting to senior management and working with external auditors (Required)
Hard Skills:
Knowledge of S-Ox control frameworks, certification, design and operational effectiveness testing (Required)
Knowledge of operational risk reporting, RCSA, risk certification, scenario analysis and project risk assessments (Required)
Ability to oversee control deficiency identification and remediation (Required)
Knowledge of Finance policy compliance and financial controls (Required)
Soft Skills:
Senior stakeholder communication and reporting (Required)
Leadership and people management (Required)
Solid control ownership, judgement and issue escalation (Required)
Ability to coordinate cross-functional risk and control activity (Required)

Salary Range:
£76,385.00 - £114,577.00per annum (depending on experience)
This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
