Forward Deployed AI Engineer

About the Role

Join a customer-facing engineering team building AI automations for insurance brokerages. You will work directly with enterprise customers to understand their workflows, deliver practical solutions quickly, and turn successful implementations into improvements that can scale across the platform.

What You'll Do

• Own implementation engagements from requirements gathering through deployment.

• Build and ship AI agents and workflow automations, often within the same week as customer scoping.

• Work with post-sales enterprise customers to understand business problems and shape technical solutions.

• Bring reusable customer-specific solutions into the core platform.

• Partner with product and engineering teams to translate customer feedback into scalable features.

What We're Looking For

• Three to six years of software engineering, implementation, solutions, forward deployed, or product engineering experience.

• Strong full-stack skills and proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.

• Experience balancing hands-on coding with customer conversations, technical scoping, and requirements gathering.

• Experience shipping software for enterprise customers, ideally in a startup or consulting environment.

• Background building or deploying AI/ML automations, LLM pipelines, or agentic workflows in production is a plus.

• Insurance or financial services domain experience is helpful.

• Strong ownership, communication, and context-switching skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $180,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site, five days per week in San Francisco, California.
