Forward Deployed AI Engineer

About the Role

Join an AI engineering team building workflow automation for the insurance industry. This hands-on, customer-facing role combines software development with post-sales scoping, turning enterprise customer needs into deployed AI solutions and scalable platform improvements.

What You'll Do

• Own customer implementations from requirements gathering through deployment.

• Build and ship AI agents and automations, often within the same week as customer discussions.

• Work with enterprise customers after the sale to understand business workflows and scope technical solutions.

• Integrate successful customer-specific work into the core platform.

• Partner with product and engineering teams to turn customer insights into reusable features.

What We're Looking For

• Three to six years of software engineering experience in forward deployed, solutions, implementation, or product engineering roles.

• Strong full-stack skills and proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.

• Recent experience combining customer-facing scoping and communication with hands-on coding, including shipping enterprise solutions quickly.

• Experience at a venture-backed startup at Series A or later.

• Experience building or deploying AI, LLM, or agentic workflows in production is a plus.

• Insurance or financial services experience is helpful.

• A relevant degree or equivalent technical background and substantive U.S. work experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $180,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
