Forward Deployed Engineer, Infrastructure

About the Role

Join an AI/ML infrastructure team to lead end-to-end deployments of machine learning systems in enterprise customer environments, from cloud VPCs to on-premises infrastructure. You will partner directly with customer engineering, IT, security, and platform teams to make complex deployments reliable and repeatable.

What You'll Do

• Plan, configure, test, and roll out deployments across customer VPC and on-premises environments.

• Work directly with customer teams, including through shared channels and live technical discussions, and occasionally visit their offices.

• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues involving Kubernetes configuration, cloud IAM, and networking.

• Build monitoring, telemetry, and automation that turn customer-specific deployment work into repeatable patterns.

• Understand the hardware used for machine learning workloads and deploy models onto customer-controlled infrastructure.

What We're Looking For

• 3 or more years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE, with relevant experience generally in the 3 to 10+ year range.

• Deep production expertise with Kubernetes and Terraform, plus experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, networking, and infrastructure as code.

• Familiarity with Python, Helm, Docker, Linux, GPU infrastructure, cloud IAM, and customer deployment tooling.

• Experience shipping software into customer-controlled environments, such as BYOC or VPC, air-gapped, on-premises, or customer-managed Kubernetes deployments.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly and troubleshoot live with external engineering teams.

• Experience in a startup or high-growth technology environment, with evidence of strong technical contributions and sustained role tenures.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $200,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
