Founding Engineer

Founding Engineer | San Francisco | $150K–$200K + 1% Equity

I’m working with a fast-growing, YC-backed AI startup looking for a Founding Engineer to help build the next generation of AI-powered sales and GTM tools.

The opportunity

• Join a Y Combinator W26 startup that has raised $5M+ and works with 40+ YC companies.
• Work directly with the CTO and co-founders, both experienced founders with Harvard/MIT CS backgrounds.
• Take ownership of 0-to-1 product development, building new features and products from scratch.
• Build agentic AI experiences, context graphs and integrations with tools such as Claude and Codex.
• Join a small, founder-led team where engineers have real ownership and see the impact of their work from day one.

What they’re looking for

• 0–5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals and a product-first mindset.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js and/or Python.
• Interest in LLMs, AI agents and building products from the ground up.
• High agency, a bias towards action and the ability to take projects from idea to production.

Package & details

• $150K–$200K base salary
• 1% equity
• Health, dental and vision insurance
• Unlimited PTO
• Full-time, onsite in San Francisco, 5 days per week
• Open to visa transfers, including OPT and H-1B transfers. No relocation support.
