Founding Full-Stack Engineer

About the Role

Join an early-stage industrial AI team building wearable tools that help field technicians work more effectively. You will own the product layer around the AI core, spanning connected devices, cloud services, and companion applications.

What You'll Do

• Deliver the end-to-end experience connecting smart glasses, backend services, and companion apps for customer use.

• Build cloud services for real-time video ingestion, APIs, and storage.

• Own reliable, observable backend APIs and data systems used by devices and AI services.

• Develop mobile and desktop applications for setup, monitoring, and workflow configuration.

• Create deployment and release processes for safely updating hardware in the field.

• Establish product architecture and engineering practices as the team grows.

• Debug across frontend, backend, and device systems to help unblock the team.

What We're Looking For

• Two to five years of post-graduate software engineering experience, ideally including early-stage startup work.

• Evidence of building and shipping a product end to end, from APIs and data systems to the interface used by customers, with real user adoption.

• Strong full-stack skills with technologies such as TypeScript, Python, React, React Native, Node.js, AWS, GCP, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and REST APIs.

• Experience making sound architectural decisions and building scalable systems on a modern cloud stack.

• Background in real-time video, streaming, low-latency systems, mobile applications, or edge and wearable products is valuable.

• Experience integrating AI pipelines into products, plus care for frontend design and user experience, is a plus.

• Strong engineering fundamentals demonstrated through relevant education, shipped products, startup work, or other substantial technical projects.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $180,000 to $240,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site in San Francisco, United States, five days per week.
