Show job description

A product people stick with. A growth engine you get to build.

We're partnering with an ambitious AI startup with $30M in seed funding to hire a Founding Growth Marketer.

The team is building an AI workspace that understands your context and turns everyday workflows into personalised tools and apps. Think software that knows how you work, helps automate repetitive tasks and brings your working day together.

The product is already showing strong early retention. Now the team needs someone to help a much wider audience discover it.

You’ll report directly to the founder, have a real media budget from day one and own building demand from the ground up.

The opportunity

You’ll own the journey from someone first hearing about the product to signing up and what it costs to bring them in.

This is a role for someone who enjoys making things happen themselves: launching campaigns, writing copy, testing creative, shipping landing pages and working out which channels deserve more investment. As channels prove themselves, you’ll help build the team around them.

The product team owns activation and retention. Your focus is quality acquisition, efficient spending and repeatable growth.

What you’ll do

  • Launch and scale paid acquisition, starting with Meta and Google. Own the creative, budgets, testing and performance.
  • Get the measurement right from the start. Build reliable conversion tracking and a clear view of acquisition costs and channel economics, including trial credits and AI usage costs.
  • Build a creator programme with creators and agencies, capable of supporting hundreds of fresh creatives per month as paid spend scales.
  • Develop an affiliate channel with a clear revenue-sharing model and a compelling reason for partners to get involved.
  • Create content that shows the product doing real work. Build an audience through useful demonstrations, strong storytelling and consistent distribution.
  • Grow organic discovery through SEO and AI search visibility, working with an engineering partner.
  • Write and ship the work yourself: landing pages, ads, emails, social posts, video scripts and launch campaigns.
  • Turn experiments into repeatable channels, with clear weekly reporting on acquisition volume, quality and cost.

Who we’re looking for

You’re a marketer who combines creative instincts with commercial discipline and can point to things you’ve personally built and grown.

You’ll bring:

  • Direct experience running paid campaigns. You’ve chosen channels, developed creative, managed budgets and made decisions from the results.
  • Evidence of growing something from the ground up: a product, newsletter, community, audience or business, with numbers to show what changed.
  • Strong measurement skills. You understand conversion events, attribution, match rates and how broken tracking affects performance.
  • Excellent writing. Your copy is clear, specific and compelling across ads, landing pages, emails and social.
  • A builder’s mindset. You can ship a landing page, work with technical teammates and move without needing a large support team.
  • Experience automating part of your own work, with a feedback loop that improves the output over time.
  • An understanding of what earns attention across X, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok—and an appetite to test across channels.

Experience with usage-based products, creator programmes, affiliate marketing or AI communities would be a bonus.

You’ll enjoy this role if you’re excited by a blank canvas, comfortable with accountability and keen to do the work yourself before hiring others to help.

Location and eligibility

This role is based in San Francisco and requires working from the office five days per week. Candidates must already be based in the Bay Area or relocate before starting.

  • US work authorisation is required, with potential O-1 or J-1 sponsorship for exceptional candidates.
