Founding Product Engineer

About the Role

Join a small team building AI coding agents for hedge funds. As the first engineering hire, you will help mature the core product and work directly with customers to turn their research needs into reliable software.

What You'll Do

• Build and improve coding agents that create custom data pipelines, scrapers, and dashboards.

• Manage remote development environments and infrastructure for customer deployments.

• Work directly with customers to understand research goals and deliver tailored solutions.

• Take features from design and scoping through implementation and delivery.

• Develop agent skills, tool libraries, and scaffolding to expand the platform's capabilities.

What We're Looking For

• Two to four years of full-stack product engineering experience, with a track record of shipping products end to end across frontend, backend, and data.

• Experience building with Python, React, SQL, PostgreSQL, DuckDB, LLMs, or agent frameworks.

• Practical experience applying research, building LLM-powered applications or coding agents, and engineering data pipelines using web scraping, APIs, and ETL.

• Customer-facing engineering experience, including translating requirements into shipped products.

• Background or interest in finance, investing, hedge fund tools, financial data, or research platforms.

• A CS or STEM degree and demonstrated engineering craft through shipped projects, open-source work, writing, or significant product impact.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $165,000 to $210,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
