Founding Senior Engineer

About the Role

Join an early-stage AI company building growth operations software for consumer brands. As the second engineer, you will ship product hands-on while helping shape the engineering culture and architecture.

What You'll Do

• Build data infrastructure that tracks merchant lifecycle events and connects actions with outcomes.

• Develop agentic systems that assess growth operations, recommend changes, and automate execution.

• Own full-stack development of the growth engine, with a focus on backend systems and infrastructure.

• Build reliable integrations with commerce and advertising platforms, alongside orchestration tools.

• Mentor engineers while remaining hands-on in day-to-day development.

What We're Looking For

• Five to eight years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong backend skills in data infrastructure, event systems, and API integrations.

• Experience building and owning production-grade agentic or LLM-powered systems that integrate with third-party APIs.

• Experience with Python, TypeScript, LLMs, and commerce or marketing technology integrations such as Shopify, advertising APIs, or email service providers.

• Experience leading or mentoring one or two engineers, and working effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

• A track record at a high-growth technology company or well-funded startup, or early-stage experience building products from the ground up.

• Strong communication skills and a consistent work history.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $175,000 to $225,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
