Frontend Engineer

About the Role

This is a hands-on frontend engineering role at a fast-moving fintech company building a retail trading platform focused on speed, clarity, and trust. You will own major frontend systems end to end, working closely with designers and backend engineers to translate complex, real-time market data into interfaces that feel intuitive for everyday traders.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain full-featured web applications and reusable UI libraries that are fast, accessible, and scalable.

• Develop high-performance, interactive charts and real-time visualizations to help users make informed trading decisions.

• Optimize application speed and reliability using advanced caching strategies to achieve sub-second load times.

• Integrate complex REST APIs and WebSocket streams while managing robust client-side cached state.

• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, previews, testing, and seamless rollbacks.

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience building latency-sensitive, real-time frontend interfaces where response time is critical, such as in trading, gaming, or casino products.

• Proven track record shipping frontend work, demonstrated through a live product, strong public repository, or recognizable employer.

• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript across the full web stack.

• Strong command of CSS and the Web Animations API (WAAPI).

• Experience integrating REST APIs and WebSocket streams.

• Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, Vitest, or Cypress.

• An active coding presence, such as a maintained GitHub profile with recent, real work.

• Genuine, demonstrable interest in trading or financial markets.

• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (TN visa holders are welcome); must be willing to work on-site in New York City.

• A degree, bootcamp certificate, or self-taught background supported by a healthy personal project portfolio.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $185,000 to $300,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
