Overview
Asia Physio is an Australian-owned physiotherapy company operating year-round and seasonal winter-based clinics across Japan. With over 20 years of experience supporting skiers, snowboarders, travellers and expat communities across Japan, we are an established and trusted name in allied health across the country.
We are looking to hire physiotherapists across many new and existing clinic locations in Japan. Whether you're an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist, a physiotherapist with an interest in women's and pelvic health, or looking to develop your skills in this area - we have a role for you! Our clinics have English-speaking teams who treat a diverse patient base including the expat community, US military personnel, their families and more. You'll be joining a close-knit team, working and living in an incredible country, for a role that's genuinely worth relocating for.
What We Offer
- Visa Support: Full assistance with work visa applications to make your move to Japan smooth and stress-free;
- Sourced Accommodation: Fully arranged housing options so you have a comfortable home waiting for you upon arrival;
- Comprehensive Onboarding: Dedicated setup and orientation to get you confident in the clinic and comfortable with local life;
- Ongoing Mentorship: Regular 1-on-1 mentoring tailored to every career stage (from new grad to senior practitioners);
- Clinical In-Services: Access to specialised internal training, including Women’s Health, sports injury management, and regular clinical in-service sessions;
- Bi-Annual Asia Physio Conference: Attend our signature regional conference every two years to learn from industry leaders and network across the region;
- Team Meetings & Case Reviews: Collaborative team catch-ups to share knowledge, discuss complex cases, and grow together;
- Live & Work in Japan: Experience authentic local culture, world-class outdoor activities, and incredible food;
- Work Hard, Play Hard: We love what we do inside the clinic, but we make sure to have just as much fun outside of it, from group rides and mountain days to team dinners and social events;
- Community-First Team: Join a close-knit group of like-minded physios who support each other professionally and personally.
Who We Are Looking For
Whether you're a new graduate eager to launch your career with intensive clinical support, dedicated mentorship and structured learning pathways, or a mid-senior physiotherapist looking for year-round career progression, clinical autonomy and leadership growth - we want to hear from you.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy, with current valid registration in your country of qualification (AHPRA, HCPC or PBNZ highly regarded);
- English fluency, with strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Excited about the opportunity to live, work and immerse yourself in Japanese culture;
- Passionate about physiotherapy and committed to delivering excellent patient care;
- Currently hold, or are eligible for, valid working rights in Japan (including Working Holiday Visa).
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role
- Confidently and independently assess, treat, and manage a diverse caseload of musculoskeletal injuries and presentations;
- Deliver evidence-based, hands-on treatment and individualised rehabilitation plans;
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes and patient records;
- Manage follow-up appointments and continuity of care;
- Work collaboratively with the broader clinic team to ensure smooth daily operations;
- Contribute to mentoring and supporting junior staff where appropriate;
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews and clinical in-services;
- For Physiotherapists who are interested we also have the opportunity to develop skills in men and women's pelvic health with dedicated mentorship through our up-skilling program.
